OUR CHALLENGE.

OnlineEd is an online school offering a wide range of quality training in a sea of competition. Real estate, mortgage, insurance, construction contracting, human resources (HR), and professional development. Owned by REBS®, Real Estate Business Services® a subsidiary of America’s largest state association, California Association of REALTORS® with over 200,000 members. OnlineEd wanted to be the best. Agency McKenna had ideas to take them there.

OUR SOLUTION.

Our challenge was to increase sales conversions, repeat purchases, and positive customer testimonials. In order to achieve these objectives, we updated the website architecture, redesigned the front-end UX design and recast OnlineEd’s suite products and services. We also provided direction on content and messaging to create a competitive advantage. All within the backdrop of celebrating OnlineEd’s 25th anniversary.

MAP A BETTER EXPERIENCE.

We rearchitected the main navigation. Updated the utility links. Provided direction on mega menus for easier click to purchase. Provided better breadcrumb and footer navigation. And designed a super easy career widget on the homepage to get to state-level license education tied to where customers are in their professional journey. A tall task? Not if you have a proven process for achieving huge growth.

ELEVATE THE BRAND. IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS.

Making it super easy isn’t easy. We made strategic recommendations to develop a “product marketing” site with improved navigation. Supporting browsing behaviors with better imagery, improved content hierarchy, compelling on-page interactions. We designed new ways of presenting and interacting with the curriculum. How price is marketed. Elevated customer service through chat. Recommended a testimonial engine. Brands are built by better listening. And delivering.

DEVELOPING A SEAMLESS WEBSITE EXPERIENCE.

We believe good design is good business. We designed the website to offer better product marketing. All centered around G-B-B-U matrix. Good, better, best, ultimate in a way of creating choice and puts the user in control.

By creating “bundles” and suggestive selling, OnlineEd is able to upsell more valuable (and helpful) add-ons like textbooks, audio guides, flashcards to its offerings. This creates more share of wallet and prepares students to pass exams the first time.

HUMAN-CENTERED DESIGN
IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS.

The UX design using consistent icons, calls to action and buttons makes it easier than ever. Suggestive pricing and seasonal discounts tap into users need for a good deal. And this is where revenue goes up by volume and by gross margins from bundling. Layouts were maximized using a new grid structure. ADA compliant colors were used. An image library set the visual direction to make the site feel custom and geographically relatable. If you’re in Oregon and learning real estate, it should feel like it. Right?
